We are thrilled that our Knossington project is part of the Passivhaus Open Days 2025: Summer Edition.

Knossington Passivhaus is under construction and will be one of Rutland’s first Certified Passivhaus projects. Designed with an annual heating demand of 13.7 kWh/m2/year, this contemporary timber frame bespoke home, which is nestled within the Braunston Conservation Area, will replace the existing energy-inefficient bungalow.

Construction began at Knossington in February 2025 and at the time of the open day will comprise of a completed structural thermal envelope (MBC Timber Frame), with a roof and external windows and doors (Norrsken) installed.  We are offering a rare chance to explore this Passivhaus while it is being constructed, with a chance to meet the owners, architects and builders for different perspectives.

If you are considering your own self build project, are interested in learning more about Passivhaus, or even just feeling a bit nosey, follow the link to register to come along to our open day and experience this ultra low-energy home first hand.

Come and see on Saturday 28th June by signing up here:
