The Anchorage becomes air and weathertight

July has been a busy month in Wyre Piddle. One month on from our Passivhaus Open Day the superstructure of Anchorage is finally complete. It’s been wrapped in a weatherproof, breathable membrane and with the triple glazed windows installed this innovative home is now watertight.

The 300mm continuous cavity has been injected with insulation throughout to create a thermal bridge-free construction, while internally the air tightness membrane is being installed and taped ahead of our first air tightness test.

It’s fantastic to see the geometry of this beautiful home take shape, with most of the elements that make this dynamic building a Passivhaus complete. Watch our latest video and follow the site progress on our blog.
