It was brilliant to see so many new and familiar faces at both of our Passivhaus Open Days this weekend. Those who have visited the Anchorage before will have seen the amazing transformation from a riverside stick frame to a completed project, while visitors to Knossington will have seen a build in progress, the owners thick in the midst of the excitement of their self-build in the middle of coming to life.

These two Passivhaus projects boast two completely different designs and entirely different sets of components, yet both showcased how careful solar shading should keep a Passivhaus comfortable in a heat wave and how clever design can respond to the setting. At Anchorage in particular is was brilliant to be able to showcase an almost-Certified Passivhaus which pushes the norms of low-energy design, with its cantilever and architectural form taking centre stage.

If you missed this open day and want to see or hear more about Passivhaus in action, or if you are considering a project of your own, we’d be delighted to speak to you, so please get in touch.
