We're delighted to see Anchorage Passivhaus featured over an eight-page spread in the July 2026 edition of Build It magazine.

The article explores Kerry and Frank's remarkable journey and their vision for their final self-build home that would challenge conventional perceptions of Passivhaus design. The result is a Certified Passivhaus that combines outstanding energy performance with a bold, contemporary architectural expression, set within a sensitive riverside Conservation Area.

Built for approximately £3,500/m², with a designed heating demand of just 8.0 kWh/m²/year and an airtightness result of 0.47 ACH, Anchorage will have a payback period of around eight years compared to a home of the same aesthetic quality built only to building regulation standards.

Located in Wyre Piddle, Worcestershire, this unique riverside home pushes the boundaries of Passivhaus design through its dynamic form, innovative detailing, and timber-led construction—proving that low-energy, low-carbon architecture can be both highly efficient and architecturally ambitious.

Pick up the July issue of Build It to read the full story behind this extraordinary project.
