We’ve always known Anchorage Passivhaus was a unique and exciting project; a contemporary, low-energy home set within a conservation area, aiming to challenge expectations and demonstrate that Passivhaus buildings can be both highly efficient and architecturally dynamic.

So we’re delighted that this innovative timber frame home has been shortlisted for Custom and Self Build Project of the Year at the 2025 Structural Timber Awards.

Even more of a surprise - and a real honour - is being shortlisted for Architect of the Year. It’s recognition we didn’t anticipate, but we’re truly grateful to be considered for.

A big thank you to Alice Piercy for her thoughtful and compelling copy for the entry, eloquently capturing the essence of what makes this project so special.

We’re looking forward to the awards ceremony on 1st October and feeling proud of everything this project represents.
