At Gatehouse Road, Aylesbury, we’re bringing to life seven, self-contained homes for the homeless. These safe and secure homes - a fundamental step towards restoring dignity and rebuilding lives - are almost at the point of being watertight.
Being delivered for Fairhive Homes by New Meaning Construction, we're crafting safe and secure homes to Passivhaus standards using the Beattie Passive system. The timber frames now have their 300mm of thermal bridge-free insulation fitted and are wrapped and sealed internally with an airtight membrane. The individual MVHR systems are being installed, which will provide a temperature controlled, stable internal air quality, contributing to the physical and mental well-being of the occupants.
We are excited to involved in this project which will make such a difference and represents a beacon of hope for some of those who have experienced homelessness.
